Women's Institute
We are a thriving WI with around 60 members who come from Bleasby and surrounding villages.
We have been around since 1922 but have a modern outlook and move with the times.
Come along & try us out - you will be sure of a warm & friendly welcome.
We meet on the 3rd Tuesday of the month at 7.30pm in Bleasby Village Hall (see map below)
If you would like to have chat about Bleasby WI, or meet someone beforehand, please contact Donna Ward - email: [email protected] / tel: 07779 223979

The first meeting of Bleasby WI was held on 19 October 1922 in the nursery or playroom of Bleasby Hall, then the home of the Kelham family. The format of the meeting then would have been very similar to today starting with information on trips and events both in Bleasby and the county, a speaker followed by social time and a lot of chatter.
From the early days the WI provided an environment where women, whose life then was very different and hard for many, could have fun and form friendships; it provided an outlet where, with a network of friends, they could learn something new. These same values attract our members today.
